System Description
The Lift/Transport V3 is used to safely lift and transport the NRC Canister. By positioning the NRC Canister in alignment with the alpha flange, the operator can perform the docking process without risk of injury or damage to the equipment.
The Lift/Transport V3 suspends the NRC Canister by two lifting hooks attached to a horizontal beam that includes horizontal and angular adjustments. A vertical drive mechanism permits the operator to bring the NRC into alignment with the alpha flange or other transporting devices as required by the operation.
The Lift/Transport V3 system is compatible with Vapor Hydrogen Peroxide gas exposure, per system specification.

- NRC interface hooks are fixed in the for/aft direction but are free to swing in the side to side direction to facilitate the docking process.
- The interface hooks have safety gates that swing down to lock the hooks onto the NRC canister.
- Outriggers that are deployed when docking to a alpha port at higher elevations, as required by the process.
