System Description

This custom application consists of two components integrated as a system: The BI Capsule and the sample actuator system.

The BI Capsule is a portable 190 beta canister featuring a polycarbonate body, a gloveport on the rear bulkhead and a standard La Calhene beta flange in front.

The sample actuator system is a VHP compatible mechanism located on the sterile side of the alpha port that permits the opening/closing of the alpha/beta door and the installation/retrieval of a sample holder containing either a Chemical Indicator (CI) or a Biological Indicator (BI). Both operations are performed without the entry of the operator into the isolator chamber.
