All mechanical designs are conducted using Solidworks parametric solid modeling software. 2D Autocad drafting software is also extensively used, if appropriate for the project task.

DDP designs tools and fixtures that allow fine tuning of critical designs or to confirm validity of your concepts. The example shown is a test tool to assess the accuracy of an optical system. The fixture required precision axial and radial mounting of the optical components and rapid, computer controlled axial movement.

DDP has extensive experience in the implementation of pneumatic, mechanical, and servo mechanisms for high speed applications. In the example shown, a cam driven, pick and place mechanism transfers the product from a magazine onto a transport system.

DDP designs and implements proof-of-concept breadboards and prototypes to evaluate the validity of your product design. This is the most critical phase in the development project. The example shows a test stand that stresses a new design hopper for a power filling machine. Also part of the test stand, are optics and electronics as defined by the test plan requirements.
